Biggest Cricket Stadium of Pakistan has been approved on Rawalpindi Ring Road near Rudn Enclave
Pakistan's biggest cricket stadium on the Rawalpindi Ring Road has been approved. This stadium will be built in sports city near Rudn Enclave on 1050 acre area. The stadium will have a capacity of 150k spectators. Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) will provide the land and the rest will be done by Pakistan Cricket Board.
... This development is going to change the fate of Rawalpindi particularly Rudn Enclave as there will be huge rise in property prices due to international events being organized in its facility. In particular, the sports city will have a big increase in the value of property. This new stadium will be constructed between Adyala and Chakri interchange near Rudn Enclave. It will be at a distance of 6km from New Islamabad International Airport. This Cricket Stadium will be the largest stadium in Pakistan with capacity of 150,000 people. It will be designed as per the ICC standards, and it will be equipped with floodlights, digital scoreboards, LED screens, indoor training facilites and five star hotels nearby. The construction of this stadium will begin in the second quarter of the year from April to June. The stadium will be made according to modern technologies and matches will be continued during rain as well. Hockey stadium, tennis courts, badminton court, Boxing ring, swimming pool with modern facilities will also be constructed in sports city along with other commercial zones.
